We’re still on target for next Thursday being the first 1080p true HD video to go up, it will be a brand new scene featuring Angel.  After trying a few different profiles I’ve settled on an awesome looking 720p HD option I’ll be using for all the widescree videos that have gone up over the last year.  The first of these will also be available next week.

I’ve also done some research and I’m seeing very little usage of the 400k wmv files.  I also checked with our friends at some of the big review sites and found that almost nobody is still offering videos that small so we’ve decided to do away with the format in order to make room on the server for the HD videos.

When the HD videos go up I’ll also put up a video FAQ to help you choose the right format and to make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements to play them.  In the meantime feel free to send me an email if you have any questions or comments.

That’s right, not just widescreen but true 1080p HD WMV videos are coming very soon.  These files are going to be extremely large and probably available for download only.  I’ll also publish the minimum system requirements which can be found on Microsoft’s site so you don’t overload your PC trying to play them.  If you’ve got the equipment to handle it you’re going to love the quality on these.

Of course we can’t give you an HD version of all the videos since it only makes sense to do an HD version if the original was shot in HD.  We might expand on that and offer some of the other scenes from the past year or two in a 1080 format  (things shot with the HD camera but in the standard quality format, not true HD but still awesome looking video) but I’ll let you know about those after I do some more experimenting. 

I’ll also be looking at some of our stats to see which video formats everyone is downloading and watching and we might pull one if nobody is watching them (does anyone really watch the 400k videos).  If there’s a format you love and want us to definately keep make sure you email me about it, I want your input too.

The true 1080p HD will start with the very next scenes we shoot, which means you’ll see the first one up by the middle of this month.
